The Grant County Chamber of Commerce is a volunteer organization with members from the business, industrial and professional communities. A Chamber has been defined as people working together to make their community a better place to live and work.
It is an organization with two basic objectives:
- To encourage and protect the economic well-being of the community.
- To build a better community.
The Chamber works to:
- Increase prosperity and wealth by facilitating the growth of existing businesses and fostering new ones. The new wealth can be directed toward establishing and improving civic, educational and cultural facilities in order to create the proper climate for attracting business in an industry.
- Acts as a spokesperson for the business community on critical issues at the local, state and federal levels of government.
- Functions as a clearing house for plans and proposals affecting Grant County's future.
- Increases business growth and development of jobs within the market area.
- Works to retain the free enterprise system with competitive markets.
- Assists in the orderly growth and development of the community and its citizens.
- Is the front door for our community and annually replies to thousands of inquiries and requests for information about Grant County.
Each year the Chamber evaluates the community's needs, sets agreed-upon measurable goals, and then combines both human and financial resources to accomplish those goals for the betterment of the community. Your investment in the Chamber is an investment in the future.
