New Reasons to bring you home...
Welcome to our home Grant County Kentucky! |
Welcome to Grant County!
Grant County is Northern Kentucky’s southernmost county. Located at the tiptop of the Bluegrass Region, we are within one hour of Lexington and Louisville, Kentucky, and Cincinnati, Ohio.
Our county is rich in natural beauty with many lakes, streams, ridges and rolling hills, and we offer boundless cultural, educational, employment, and business opportunities that few communities can match.
Our staff and the many departments of our local government are proud to offer services that make us a great place to live, work, play, do business, or simply enjoy the serenity and simple pleasures of life.
Come and experience southern hospitality at the place where it all begins...Grant County.

2010 Census |

Your community is counting on you
Every 10 years, we conduct a census of our population. The results help determine your representation in government, as well as how federal funds are spent in your community on things like roads, parks, housing, schools, and public safety.
- The census is a count of everyone living in the United States every 10 years.
- The census is mandated by the U.S. Constitution.
- The next census is in 2010.
- Your participation in the census is required by law.
- It takes less than 10 minutes to complete.
- Federal law protects the personal information you share during the census.
- Census data are used to distribute Congressional seats to states, to make decisions about what community services to provide, and to distribute $300 billion in federal funds to local, state and tribal governments each year.

Notes from the Webmaster |
 |
Wondering what I should place in this empty spot I began thinking of all the free or low cost activities going on in the county. There are so many things to do near our home this summer that I wanted to share a few. The parks are open daily with basketball, ball fields and picnic shelters and that is besides all the programs for young and old alike that you can find on the parks pages. The local churches are kicking off Vacation Bible Schools across the county as well as revivals. If you are not into that you may enjoy the Cruise-In that happens in Dry Ridge all summer long. We have several lakes for fishing and many local restaurants to dine in with friends.
Take time this summer to spend time with family, friends or meet your neighbors. I challenge you to meet your neighbors and make new friends. In a time of economic troubles there is nothing more priceless than spending time with those you care for and care for you.
