Grant County

Broadband, Equity,
Access, and Deployment

In parternship with the Northern Kentucky Area Development District and the Kentucky Department of Broadband, the Grant County Fiscal Court is seeking your help in recieiving grant funding for the purpose of expanding Broadband in Grant County.

The first step in this Grant Process is to determine if the information provided by the Federal Government is accurate.  They have provided a map that depicts their data of which houses in Grant County do or do not have access to Broadband Internet.  This map will be used for the required “Challenge Process.” Our job is ensure that the data is vetted with the people and local stakeholders to confirm the validity of the areas categorized as “no service, unserved, and underserved.”

Here is how you can help: Please download the map below, find your home, and take note of the color of the dot.  If the color of your home is green or yellow and you are confident that you do not have Broadband, please reach out Deputy Judge Executive Colton Simpson at csimpson@grantco.org. Please provide your address and a brief statement that the Federal Government’s Broadband Map requires this challenge.

Once we ensure that the map is accurate, we can move on to the next steps in the grant process.
